Yes, this guide was designed with both these things in mind. The TRS+ Dual uses a direct mount bashguard so it is not necessary to have a crank mounted bashguard.

Chainline. The XCX-CX was designed to be used with road 39.5-42.5mm chainlines, whereas the XCX-ST was designed for mountain 50-53mm chainlines.

Options, that's what. We make three different levels of bash protection in the TRS+ dual. You can run the version without the Direct Mount Bash if you want the lightest set-up. You can run the Direct Mount Bash version if you want the best of both worlds, light weight and bash protection. Or, if you are looking for top level protection you can use the included Turbocharger slider included with the non-DMB version to add a Turbocharger bashguard to your guide.
