I noticed you make two version of the XCX ST – a high clamp and a low clamp. Which do I need?

Check with your frame manufacturer to see if they recommend a top swing front derailleur (low clamp) or a bottom swing (high clamp). We recommend the same clamp location for the XCX guide as the front derailleur that your frame would otherwise use.

I’m using a crank that has a dedicated double chainline or does not have the ability to mount a bashguard. Will the TRS+ Dual work with this?

Yes, this guide was designed with both these things in mind. The TRS+ Dual uses a direct mount bashguard so it is not necessary to have a crank mounted bashguard.

I have a frame that has S1 or S2 front derailleur mounts. Do you make an XCX or TRS guide for that?

We do not make a guide that is compatible with those mounting standards. They are uncommon and being phased out by most frame manufacturers.

The XCX-CX and XCX-ST look the same in the pictures. What is the difference between those two guides?

Chainline. The XCX-CX was designed to be used with road 39.5-42.5mm chainlines, whereas the XCX-ST was designed for mountain 50-53mm chainlines.

What is the difference between S3 and E-type?

They are actually the same thing. SRAM calls the mounting standard S3 whereas Shimano calls it E-type.

What's the difference between the TRS+ dual with the Direct Mount Bashguard and the one without?

Options, that's what. We make three different levels of bash protection in the TRS+ dual. You can run the version without the Direct Mount Bash if you want the lightest set-up. You can run the Direct Mount Bash version if you want the best of both worlds, light weight and bash protection. Or, if you are looking for top level protection you can use the included Turbocharger slider included with the non-DMB version to add a Turbocharger bashguard to your guide.
