SRAM™ 12s Eagle™ Derailleurs
Hardtail Bicycles (SRAM™):
Wrap the chain around the chainring and the largest cassette sprocket (without passing the chain through the derailleur):
Add 3 or 4 links of chain, and break the chain so the last link is a narrow link:
Full Suspension Bicycles (SRAM™):
For full suspension bicycles, in order to size the chain, first compress the rear shock to the point in the travel where the rear axle is farthest from the bottom bracket. Deflate or remove the rear shock if necessary.
Wrap the chain around the chainring and the largest cassette sprocket (without passing the chain through the derailleur):
Add 1 or 2 links of chain, and break the chain so the last link is a narrow link:

Hardtail Bicycles (Shimano™):
Wrap the chain around the chainring and the largest cassette sprocket (without passing the chain through the derailleur):
Add 4 or 5 links of chain, and break the chain so the last link is a narrow link:
Full-Suspension Bicycles (Shimano™):
Wrap the chain around the chainring and the largest cassette sprocket (without passing the chain through the derailleur):
Add 5 or 6 links of chain, and break the chain so the last link is a narrow link:
