This support article will outline a quick setup procedure and a full service procedure for our new Race Alloy hubs.
Please note that the New Race Alloy Hubs are only compatible with Axle Kits and Freehub Bodies produced specifically for this model.

Quick Hub Assembly Procedure
Start with a clean work surface, have a clean rag and light freehub grease ready.
The grease we use in our hubs is Mobil XHP 222 but a similar light lube like "Slick Honey" will also work well.
Apply grease to the drivering and freehub pawls. Lightly coat any freehub hardware and the smooth portion of the axle.
Slide the freehub and freehub hardware onto the axle, and install in the hubshell. The Freehub hardware on the Race Alloy Hub will have one large diameter washer, a freehub sleeve, and then one small diameter washer.
Freehub hardware is specific to freehub model. If installing a new freehub please ensure you are using the correct freehub hardware.
Slide the freehub and freehub hardware onto the axle, and install in the hubshell.
While inserting the axle/freehub into the hubshell, gently apply pressure to the freehub and rotate counter clockwise. This will engage the pawls and help seat the freehub in the hub shell.
Install the non-driveside axle endcap. Apply pressure and tighten clockwise until endcap spins freely.
The non-driveside endcap is captured on the end of the axle by 4 threads. These threads are not used to preload the axle, but simply prevent the axle assembly from coming apart when off the bike.
A small amount (approx 2-3 mm ) of side-to-side play is present when the wheel is off the bike, but should not be present once the wheel is installed on the bike and the rear thru-axle tightened down.
Wipe off any excess grease and you are good to go!

To remove the axle pull the non-drive endcap away from the hub while turning counter-clockwise. Hold the driveside of the axle to keep it from turning while the non-driveside endcap is loosened.
Once the non-drive endcap is removed you can pull the freehub and axle out of the hub shell.
Be careful not to loose/misplace the freehub hardware! This hardware helps to properly space the freehub body and the hub can not be used without it. If installing a new freehub please ensure you are using the correct freehub hardware.
Now that you have the hub apart. Here is a helpful guide which shows commonly referenced hub parts and their names
The below image shows the correct freehub spacer arrangement for an XD Driver.
We will soon have additional driver options available and will update this section with the associated freehub spacer arrangements.
At this point the bearings and hub internals can be evaluated and replaced or cleaned as needed.
