We recommend using Sapim or DT Swiss spokes for any spoke replacements or wheel rebuilds. All of our Wheels use Spokes and Spoke nipples which have 14 Guage/2.0 Threading.
As of 2025, all of our complete wheels are generally built using Sapim spokes. For information regarding spoke specifications for wheels manufactured before 2025, please refer to the details at the bottom of this message. Spoke Nipples and Washers
- Spoke Nipples: We currently use 14mm nipples on many new models, though 12mm nipples were used frequently in the past. Both lengths are generally compatible; please ensure you use a nipple designed for a 14g/2.0 thread.
- Washers: We recommend using stainless steel nipple washers on all wheel builds. The majority of our wheels are built using 0.3mm Washers; though we have used 0.5mm washers. Sets of replacement nipple washers can be found Here.
- Spoke Tension: We recommend a tension of 110-130kgf. This measurement should be made with the tire removed or fully deflated.
Pre-2025 Wheel Specifications
Please note that there can be some variation with wheels produced before 2025, with some wheels being assembled by bike manufacturers to suite their specific builds. If you have any questions regarding spoke selection/fit that are not answered in this article dont hesitate to reach out to us.
