At e*thirteen, riders design and build world-class bicycle components. While we go to great lengths to perfect our products through meticulous manufacturing and engineering processes, we’re still humans who make mistakes from time to time. We’re also riders who know things don't always go as intended when you push the full-send button. Riders are keeping bikes longer than ever before, and you deserve parts that last and with an iron-clad guarantee if things go wrong. Our first goal when designing products is that you will never need a warranty, but if the case arises, have confidence that you will be fully supported.
Our Infinite Ride Warranty has your back and is one of the most robust warranty programs in the industry:
- Fortress Carbon Rim / Wheel Warranty - LIFETIME GUARANTEE (regardless of failure type).
- Fortress Flux Pro Aluminum Rims Warranty- LIFETIME GUARANTEE.

The warranty is only as good as the people backing it up, and e*thirteen’s Infinite Ride Warranty promises:
- Your warranty claims are handled expeditiously. Replacement parts typically ship within 24-48 hours from our locations in Petaluma, California; Traunstein, Germany, and Nottingham, England.
- If we don’t have the part you need in stock, we'll upgrade you!
- No AI agents or foreign call centers here - Your claim is managed by humans who ride bikes and understand techy bike stuff. Mike, Zach, Joe, Liz, Kili, Sebastian, and Kai will make sure you are back on the trail as soon as possible.
Fortress Carbon Wheel/Rim Warranty
e*thirteen carbon rims are warrantied to the original purchaser for the lifetime of the product. This warranty valid for rims on complete e*thirteen wheels or rims built on non-e*thirteen hubs. The warranty applies to carbon rim wheels being used on human-powered MTBs and Class 1 EMTBs. The warranty does not apply to products being used on Class 2 and Class 3 EMTBs. All warranties require proof of purchase showing that the purchaser's name matches the name of the person requesting the warranty.
e*thirteen’s Fortress Carbon Rim Warranty covers ALL FAILURE TYPES (REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY HAPPEN).
Complete e*thirteen wheels:
Under 1 year old – Initial failure: When a rim failure occurs, the original purchaser will be sent a complete new wheel and call tag to return the wheel with the failed rim to e*thirteen or its appropriate distributor.
Under 1 year old – Subsequent failures: If a subsequent rim failure occurs and the original purchase has already received a complete wheel replacement for the first failure, the original purchaser will be sent a replacement rim and a call tag to return the failed rim to e*thirteen or its distributor. The cost of the wheel rebuild is the rider's responsibility.
Over 1 year old: When a rim failure occurs, the original purchaser will be sent a replacement rim and call tag to return the failed rim to e*thirteen or its distributor. The cost of the rebuild is the rider's responsibility.
e*thirteen carbon rims built on non-e*thirteen hubs:
When a rim failure occurs, the original purchaser will be sent a replacement rim and a call tag to return the failed rim to e*thirteen or its appropriate distributor. The cost of the rebuild is the rider's responsibility.
Fortress Flux Pro Aluminum Rim Lifetime Warranty
e*thirteen Flux Pro Aluminum rims are warrantied to the original purchaser for the lifetime of the product. This warranty valid for rims on complete e*thirteen wheels or Flux Pro Aluminum rims built on non-e*thirteen hubs. The warranty applies to Flux Pro Aluminum rims being used on human-powered MTBs and Class 1 EMTBs. The warranty does not apply to products being used on Class 2 and Class 3 EMTBs. This warranty does not apply to non-Pro version Flux Aluminum rims, which are covered by our 10 year manufactures defect warranty. All warranties require proof of purchase showing that the purchaser's name matches the name of the person requesting the warranty.
The following damage is covered under warranty for our Flux Pro Aluminum rims:
- Severely dented rim: Not able to hold air when setup tubeless or retain the tire bead if using a tube setup.
- Seam separation
- Crack at a spoke hole
The following damage is NOT covered under warranty for our Flux Pro Aluminum rims:
- Damage caused by crashes or misuse, such as “taco’ed” rims.
- Failures caused by a lack of or incorrect maintenance of spoke tension.
Qualifying warranty claims will be shipped a replacement rim. The cost of the rebuild is the sole responsibility of the rider.
Fortress Flux Pro Aluminum Rim Crash Replacement Program
Accidents happen. When things don't go as intended, and damage happens to your rim due to a crash, we’ve still got you covered. Since we’re just as accident-prone as you, we think it’s important to offer a generous crash-replacement policy: 35% off MSRP.
Rider-First Fortress Wheel / Rim Warranty fine print
- Lifetime warranty coverage applies only to the original owner.
- Whenever possible, e*thirteen will replace the wheel or rim with the same model as the failed rim. When the model is no longer in production or available, the product will be replaced with the current model-year equivalent. In some cases, this may mean graphics or specifications that differ from the original model. e*thirteen’s sole obligation is to replace defective parts with components of equal or greater value.
- e*thirteen reserves the right to replace the failed product with one that e*thirteen deems more appropriate for the rider's use case if we believe the product is being used outside the boundaries of its intended use.
- The spirit of the lifetime warranty is to have a guarantee for riders who experience one-off failures; it is not intended for riders/racers to treat carbon rims as consumables. Riders with multiple failures who do not make efforts to avoid failures through bike setup and component choice may have their warranty revoked.
What’s Not Covered:
- Modifications or use outside of manufacturer recommendations.
- Normal wear, custom finishes, or commercial use.
- Damage from accidents/crashes (eligible for crash replacement).
Ride Smooth Vario Infinite Dropper Post Lifetime Warranty
The e*thirteen Vario™ Infinite Dropper Post includes a lifetime warranty on the internal hydraulic cartridge and wear components. This lifetime warranty applies to the original owner of the seatpost.
Wear components include: Collar, Seal, Travel Bushing, Lower Bushing, Brass Keys
How it works: Fill out the e*thirteen Warranty request form, upload a copy of your purchase receipt, a photo of the internal parts needed, and a photo of the production date code found on the cartridge (if the cartridge has failed) or the lower tube of the seatpost itself (if wear components are needed). Once we have that info, we’ll ship you the parts..
All other Vario Infinite components are backed by our 10-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing or material defects. Damage caused by crashes or other mishaps is covered by our crash replacement policy.
Free Speed Hub Bearing Lifetime Warranty
All e*thirteen hubs use high-quality bearings specifically sourced for their intended use, with custom-specified grease type and fill amounts. Strong confidence in our bearing spec and quality means we are proud to now offer a “no questions asked” lifetime bearing warranty for the original purchaser of our hubs and wheels.
How it works: Fill out the e*thirteen Warranty request form, upload a copy of your purchase receipt, a photo of the hub you need bearings for, and the production date code found on the hub shell. Once we have that info, we’ll ship you the parts. Smoother, faster, and confidence-inspiring in your component choice and your riding.
All other hub components are backed by our 10-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing or material defects. Damage caused by crashes or other mishaps is covered by our crash replacement policy.
Just Ripping Along (JRA) Crash Replacement & Second Hand Owner Support
Crash Replacement: Accidents happen. When things don't go as intended, and you break something due to a crash, we’ve still got you covered. Since we’re just as accident-prone as you, we think it’s important to offer a generous crash-replacement policy: 35% off MSRP (Note: Carbon Rims are fully covered at no cost to the rider through our Fortress Warranty).
Second-Hand Owner: Bought your bike or wheels used? Our standard warranties do not apply to second-hand purchases, but regardless of where the product was bought, we support all riders on e*thirteen products. If you experience an issue with ANY of our products purchased second-hand, we’ll work with you or your bike shop to offer a discounted replacement (typically 35%). That replacement product will then be covered for future issues under the respective product warranty.
Legal Limits: To the extent permitted by law, e*thirteen disclaims all other warranties (including merchantability) and is not liable for incidental, consequential, or personal injury damages. Any legally required implied warranties are limited to the duration of this policy. e*thirteen reserves the right to deny claims that are fraudulent, abusive, or lack requested documentation (such as photos/videos).
